  • Pay Rate: $75.00 $80.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Night (3x12 Hours), 19:00 07:30; you must have flexibility to start four (4) hours prior to scheduled start time or four (4) hours after scheduled start time based on limited critical department need. Will accept 48s.

Job Summary

This position is for a well-rounded ED nurse supporting a busy Emergency Department that includes a psych holding area. The role requires floating between the Leominster and Clinton campuses, and scheduling is based on the needs of the unit. Absolutely no block schedules can be accommodated. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5 and charting is performed using Epic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department, including coverage of a psych holding area within the ED.
  • Float between Leominster and Clinton campuses as required.
  • Maintain flexibility to start four (4) hours prior to or four (4) hours after scheduled start time based on limited critical department need.
  • Work every other weekend and holiday per the weekend requirement.
  • Adhere to scheduling based on the needs of the unit; no block schedules will be accommodated.
  • Document patient care using Epic charting system.
  • Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5.

Education Requirements

  • Permanent Massachusetts (MA) RN license required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required

Required Skills

  • Ability to work a 3x12 night shift schedule (19:00 07:30)
  • Flexibility to adjust shift start time by up to four (4) hours before or after scheduled start, based on department need
  • Ability to float between multiple campuses (Leominster and Clinton)
  • Ability to work every other weekend and holiday
  • Proficiency with Epic electronic charting system
  • Experience in a well-rounded emergency department setting, including psych holding areas

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • On-site role at Leominster and Clinton campuses; float between both locations required

  • Every other weekend and holiday coverage required

  • Flu vaccine required (Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed)
  • COVID-19 vaccination: Not required
  • Must be prepared to take 2 pass/fail tests at orientation covering telemetry and medication administration

Important Notes

  • RTO (Request Time Off) for July will not be approved unless it is 1 2 days.
  • The facility may be able to accommodate a quicker start date, but cannot accept start dates beyond 7/13.
  • At orientation, travelers will be required to take 2 pass/fail tests covering telemetry and medication. Failure of these tests may result in contract action please confirm consequences with your recruiter prior to submission.
