Registered Nurse/ER

Join a dynamic emergency department at a teaching hospital and Level III Trauma facility in Saint Paul, MN. We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse with at least two years of emergency nursing experience. First-time travelers are welcome, but local candidates within a 100-mile radius are not eligible.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• On-Call: Not required
• Floating: No
• Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
• Local Candidates: Not accepted within a 100-mile radius
• Pending License: Accepted
• RTO: Ideally no more than 5 days

Required Certifications

• BLS – Basic Life Support
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
• NIHSS – NIH Stroke Scale
• TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Perform rapid assessment, triage, and ongoing evaluation.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocols.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Assist with emergency procedures and trauma management.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Provide patient and family education and support.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.

Guaranteed Hours / Cancellation Policy

The client may cancel up to three shifts without penalty. On-call hours do not count toward guaranteed minimum hours.

A confident and adaptable ER RN with strong emergency and trauma-care experience, excellent assessment skills, and the ability to maintain compassionate, patient-centered care in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
