What You’ll Do

• Provide high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population from newborn to geriatric.
• Manage approximately 85-95 visits per day with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3.
• Perform IV starts, continuous patient monitoring, and identify patient severity.
• Collaborate with ED charge nurse, hospitalists, RTs, and other staff to deliver coordinated care.
• Support patients with trauma, respiratory distress, cardiac issues, stroke, and mental health concerns.
• Complete charting in Meditech Expanse EMR and utilize IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing.
• Maintain safety and compliance including passing an EKG competency exam.

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
• 2+ years of recent emergency department experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, CPI or MOAB
• Strong skills in IV therapy, patient assessment, multitasking, and monitoring
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
