Registered Nurse (RN) – Evening Shift

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Department: Clinical Services
Setting: Youth Correctional Healthcare
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Evening | 12:00 PM–10:00 PM
Hours: 30–38 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $40–$48/hr

Positions Available

• Position 1: Sunday, Monday & Tuesday

• Position 2: Thursday, Friday & Saturday

Requirements

• Active RN License

• Minimum 1+ year professional RN experience

• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

• Ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies

• Strong documentation and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a secure/youth correctional healthcare environment

• Previous correctional healthcare experience preferred

• Adolescent or behavioral health experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and respond to health concerns and changes in condition.

• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions.

• Collect and process blood, urine, and other clinical specimens.

• Conduct intake health screenings.

• Provide direct patient care and emergency medical assistance.

• Develop and coordinate treatment plans with physicians and healthcare staff.

• Administer vaccinations and assist with TB skin testing.

• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

• Ensure medical supplies and equipment are properly stocked.

• Communicate effectively with facility and healthcare staff.

• Follow nursing standards, regulations, policies, and procedures.
