Registered Nurse - Forensic Unit

Description

Nashville General Hospital is hiring for a Full Time Forensic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Med/Surg in Nashville, Tennessee. 

This is an 18-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio. 

As a Forensic RN, you will be responsible for:  

• Admitting and assessing patients
• Administering medication and treatments
• Monitoring vital signs and symptoms
• Running and ordering tests
• Coordinating care with Physicians and Specialists as well as educational programs as needed
• Charting patient progress and anything necessary regarding patient care
• Providing education to patients and family members related to health prevention, maintenance and restoration

Required Skills & Qualifications:  

• Graduate of an accredited associate degree, Diploma, or Baccalaureate Degree program in Nursing Preferred.
• Current Licensure or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or compact state. 
• Employee must have valid BLS upon hire. ACLS and CPI are required within 90 days of hire.
