Registered Nurse - Inpatient Center Schedule: Full-Time Nights | Rotating WeekendsLocation: Victoria, TXDepartment: Inpatient Center Position SummaryHospice of South Texas is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Inpatient Center team. This position provides direct skilled nursing care to hospice patients of all ages while coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team, patients, families, and referring agencies to ensure continuity and quality of care.This role is ideal for nurses with strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a passion for palliative and end-of-life care.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssess hospice patients to identify physical, psychosocial, and environmental needsDevelop, implement, and document individualized plans of careProvide direct skilled nursing care in accordance with hospice standardsCoordinate care with the interdisciplinary team and referring providersProvide clinical direction to Hospice Aides and LVNsCommunicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionalsPromote hospice philosophy, agency policies, and quality standardsMaintain clinical competency and participate in professional developmentEducationGraduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's School of NursingLicensureCurrent Texas Registered Nurse licenseValid Texas Driver's LicenseExperienceMinimum two years clinical RN experience preferredHospice or home health experience strongly preferredSkills & CompetenciesStrong nursing skills consistent with accepted standards of practiceExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsKnowledge of palliation and end-of-life care preferredStrong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilitiesTransportationReliable transportation requiredCurrent auto liability insuranceWork EnvironmentPotential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseasesAbility to travel locally as neededNight shift with 12-hour shifts and rotating weekendsPRN emergency call as neededPossible exposure to inclement weather during travelPhysical RequirementsProlonged standing and walkingAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient movementAbility to respond quickly in emergent patient situationsWhy Join Hospice of South TexasMission-driven organization providing compassionate end-of-life careSupportive interdisciplinary team environmentOpportunity to make a meaningful impact in patients' livesCompetitive compensation and benefits packageApply TodayApply through our careers portal or visit:https://hospice-vic.org/
