Responsible for direct and indirect nursing care to patients in chemical dependency treatment, including individualized care and care planning in accordance with nursing skills, procedures, standards, and organizational policies. The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the primary care of patients as assigned. This includes but is not limited to: assessments, prioritization of care, medication and treatment administration, clinical documentation, processing and verification of physicians orders, patient education, and communication with counseling staff and other departments as needed, and discharge planning. Strong therapeutic communication skills, ability to demonstrate empathy while maintaining safe, professional boundaries, and adherence to HIPAA and other applicable regulatory requirements within the scope the RN job responsibilities required. Valid Ohio RN license and BLS certification required.
