Registered Nurse - Hospice

Join our compassionate team in Basking Ridge, NJ, where you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced hospice nurse to provide exceptional care and support.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Ensure appropriate utilization of services and demonstrate knowledge of insurance reimbursement.
• Complete discharge assessments and documentation in a timely manner.
• Use age-appropriate teaching methods for patients and families.
• Assume responsibility for case management and demonstrate knowledge of hospice regulations.
• Maintain a safe environment and follow infection control measures.
• Participate in monthly staff and performance improvement meetings.
• Assist with agency growth and provide orientation to new employees.

Required Skills & Experience

• Two (2) years of experience as an RN in a home hospice environment.
• Proficiency in using an EMR, along with excellent critical thinking and communication skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Three (3) years of RN experience.

Schedule

4pm to 8am (3 shifts/week) covering Morris & Sussex Counties, with a weekend requirement every 3 weeks and compensatory days provided. One summer/winter holiday.
