Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
Certifications Required: BLS and ACLS
General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: All protentional ICU diagnoses; High volume of ventilators and Alines; Must have experience w titration of continuous infusions of sedation agents/pain meds, paralytic agents, and vasopressors; Agency RNs do not take CRRT pts unless they can show competency on the Baxter PrisMax machine. Multidisciplinary rounds are done each a.m. with intensivist, bedside RN, PharmD, RRT, OT/PT, dietitian, Case mgr and Wound Care, Transport of pts (ie to CT) is done by bedside RN, tech and RRT if on vent; Nightshift NPs place central lines/vascaths/alines, attend all codes, address ICU care issues and admit ETC pts to ICU. They are first call before the intensivist.

RTO: MAX 7 days
Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified elsewhere
Floating: Yes within facility/scope of practice as needed (sister campus Piedmont Columbus Northside)

Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.

Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
