Eligible for $20,000 Sign on Bonus

The successful candidate will:

  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document the care of critically ill medical and surgical adolescent/adult patients.
  • Provide acute care per protocols.
  • Assist with special procedures.
  • Direct the care delivered by patient care partners and other healthcare team members in the department.
  • Collaborate with Physicians to evaluate patient readiness for change in level of care.
  • Care for med/surg and telemetry patients as necessary.
  • Recover MAC local patients when PACU is not open.

Ability to interpret and operate cardiac and other invasive and non-invasive monitors, recognize normal/abnormal rhythms, trends, and institute appropriate interventions. Caring for patients with complex needs, including hemodynamically compromised and mechanically ventilated patients. Initiating and maintaining complex IV therapy, including thrombolytic administration, vasoactive medications, central IV catheters, dialysis catheters, and arterial lines. Safe use of less invasive life-supporting modalities, i.e., BiPAP, ETCO2, arterial pressure-based CO2I, and SVO2 monitors. Must be able to work 7:00 p-7:00 a.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Critical Care Telemetry experience
  • Current IL RN License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through American Heart Association
  • OCN Certification within 18 months of hire or 36 total CE in Oncology every Commission of Cancer cycle of three years with completion of 12 CE every year
  • Surgical Services exempt
