Job Description:
Birch Agency is seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses to join our team and provide high-quality care in a hospital setting in Philadelphia, PA. The ICU Registered Nurse provides specialized critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-acuity environment.
Responsibilities:

• 
  Monitor and assess patients with complex and critical medical conditions.
  
• 
  Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and established protocols.
  
• 
  Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment.
  
• 
  Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly to emergencies.
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient outcomes.
  
• 
  Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to patients and their families.
  
• 
  Float throughout the unit as needed to support staffing and patient-care requirements.
  
• 
  Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• 
  Current Registered Nurse license.
  
• 
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  
• 
  Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  
• 
  All required background clearances must be completed and maintained.
  
• 
  CVICU experience highly preferred.
  
• 
  Candidates with Cardiac PCU or MICU experience will also be considered.
  
• 
  Ability to work effectively in a multi-acuity hospital environment.
  
• 
  Strong communication, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills.
  

Work Environment:
This position is based in a hospital setting on a multi-acuity intensive care unit. The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to float unit wide as needed.
