Registered Nurse (RN) ICU

Location: Princeton, NJ
Assignment Type: Local Contract (13 Weeks)
Contract Dates: August 18, 2026 November 14, 2026
Schedule: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM (Night Shift)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Job Summary

Client is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Critical Care Unit (CCU) on a 13-week local contract. The ideal candidate will have recent ICU experience and be confident providing high-quality care to critically ill adult patients in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill ICU/CCU patients.
  • Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products according to physician orders.
  • Operate and monitor critical care equipment, including cardiac monitors and infusion pumps.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • BSN required.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred).
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced critical care environment.

Schedule Requirements

  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • Every other weekend required.
  • Every other holiday required.
