SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING

" Shift hours: 3x12s, 645p-715
" Charting: EPIC experience required
" Weekend Requirement: May be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
" RTO, Block & Special Scheduling Requests: ALL requests must be included with the submission.
" Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-weeks
" Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract.
" Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes
" Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: Yes, locals accepted. Refer to Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria
REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

" ACLS / BLS / NIHSS
" Pending License Accepted: Yes, only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Otherwise, submission must include an active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license.
REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS
========================
" Previous Neuro experience required. Large L1/L2 facility experience required
" Proficient in cardiac monitoring & emergency response, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response and Code teams
" IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care, Accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, PICC line management.
" Medications: Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade ,Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, Titrate Cardiac and Vasoactive drips
" Neuro: CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drain (EVD), Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, Lumbar drains, Post Craniotomy, Post Neurosurgery management
" Respiratory skills: Assist with management of BiPAP/CPAP, Care of Ventilated Patient, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Ventilator Management

" Ratios: 1:2
" Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Neurosurgery, Neuro specific diagnosis, Complex spine
" Special Procedures: EVDs, Therapeutic Thermoregulation
" Floating: Will be required to float within skillset.
