• Pay Rate: $80.00 $85.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Night Shift, 3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
• Travel Requirements: Accepts first-time travelers

Job Summary

This is a Registered Nurse opportunity in the Surgical ICU at a busy hospital, caring for high-acuity trauma and transplant patients. The unit operates at a 1:1 2 patient ratio and utilizes Epic for charting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Surgical ICU patients, including trauma and transplant patients at high acuity
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 2 as required by unit census
• Float to other adult ICUs and stepdown units as needed
• Document patient care and clinical findings using Epic charting system
• Adhere to all weekend rotation requirements (every other weekend)

Education Requirements

• MA (Massachusetts) RN License required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• SICU (Surgical ICU) experience required candidates without SICU experience cannot be submitted
• Candidates with previous travel experience AND Level I Trauma experience may also be submitted for consideration

Required Skills

• High-acuity ICU patient care
• Trauma and transplant patient care
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to float to other adult ICUs and stepdown units as needed

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Busy hospital environment with high patient acuity
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float requirements to other adult ICUs and stepdown units as needed
• Flu vaccination required (Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed)
• COVID-19 vaccination: Not required

• Candidate will be required to pass a pass/fail telemetry test at orientation 1 attempt only; failure may result in contract consequences
