Job Summary

Up to $25,000 Sign-On bonus for experienced Registered Nurse / RN

Shift: Days

Hours: 0700-1930

Job type: Full Time

Schedule: 6 shifts per two week pay period. Some weekends required.

The professional Labor and Delivery nurse uses the nursing process to plan, implement, evaluate and document care for the pregnant patient for the laboring patient. The L&D nurse considers the patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, language barriers, age, teaching needs, and readiness to learn when providing care to the pregnant patient. The L&D nurse involves the interdisciplinary team in the plan of care and patient intervention.

The RN I utilizes a mentor relationship. The RN I continue in a mentor relationship with a designated RN, and works toward independent practice and growth educationally in the Labor & Delivery Department.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • California RN License
  • BLS from American Heart Association
  • ACLS from American Heart Association
  • Basic Computer Skills

Current Competencies:

  • Skills Competencies
  • RN License
  • BLS from American Heart Association
  • ACLS from American Heart Association
  • NRP from American Heart Association within two (2) months of hire.
  • Fetal Monitoring AWHONN Basic within one (1) month of hire/transfer
  • Fetal Monitoring Intermediate AWHONN, within six (6) months of hire/transfer
