Unit Description:

Medical ICU (MICU) – Where Excellence Meets Compassion

Step into the heart of critical care at our 21-bed Medical/Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, where every shift is a chance to make a profound impact. As a MICU RN, you’ll be part of a high-performing, interdisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional care rooted in the latest evidence-based practices.
 

Complex Care, Advanced Skills

In the MICU, you’ll care for some of the most critically ill patients in the region. Our diverse and high-acuity population includes individuals experiencing:

  • Neurological emergencies: Stroke, Seizures, Guillain-Barré (GB), TNK, Thrombectomies
  • Cardiac crises: Myocardial Infarction (MI), CHF, IABP, Impella, Cardiac Arrest, ECMO
  • Pulmonary challenges: COPD, ILD, PNA, COVID ICU
  • Severe infections: Sepsis, Septic Emboli
  • Metabolic and toxicologic emergencies: DKA, Overdose (OD), Liver Failure, Renal Failure
  • Gastrointestinal bleeding: GIB
  • Advanced therapies: CRRT, CDT
  • End-of-life (EOL) care: Compassionate, patient-centered support for patients and families

Experience:

Greater than one year of ICU experience required. Candidates with 2 years or more of ICU experience will be considered first.
