Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location: 1000 Johnson Ferry Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30342
Unit: 640A – Intensive Care Unit
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts | 36 hours/week
Local Candidates: Not accepted within 50 miles

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
• AHA BLS & ACLS – Required
• CCRN & NIHSS – Preferred
• Cerner EMR experience
• General Medical-Surgical ICU experience

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a General Medical-Surgical ICU.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and overall condition.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
• Manage and monitor patients requiring ventilators, central lines, arterial lines, and cardiac monitoring.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly to clinical deterioration.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform thorough assessments and accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR.
