Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care / Step Down

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care
Department: 648A Pulmonary Thoracic – RN Intermediate / Step Down
Location: Atlanta, GA 30342
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Shift: 3×12-hour shifts / 36 hours per week
Local Candidates: No local candidates within 50 miles

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Intermediate Care / Step Down nursing experience

• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required

• NIHSS certification preferred

• Strong experience caring for medically complex and high-acuity patients

Patient Population & Responsibilities

• Care for intermediate medical patients requiring close monitoring

• Provide care for patients with high-risk respiratory conditions

• Care for patients recovering from cardiac/thoracic, hepatobiliary, and head & neck surgeries

• Manage patients requiring respiratory support ranging from room air to BiPAP and Optiflow

• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team

• Recognize changes in patient status and intervene appropriately based on clinical needs

Holiday Requirement

Must work 2 major holidays from:

• Thanksgiving Day

• Christmas Day

• New Year's Day

And 1 minor holiday:

• Friday after Thanksgiving

• Christmas Eve

• New Year's Eve
