Local: $2,070–$2,208/week

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide care for adult IMCU/PCU patients requiring higher-acuity nursing care.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York RN license.

• Minimum 2+ years of recent IMCU/PCU experience.

• Previous travel nursing experience documented on resume.

• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

• EPIC EMR experience.

• Current NURSYS license verification showing active NY RN license and all RN licenses.

• Updated resume matching required specialty experience.

• Completed skills checklist matching IMCU/PCU specialty.

• Willingness to float as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience caring for complex neurological, cardiac, trauma, respiratory, and post-operative patients.

• Experience with temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo.

• Experience caring for chronic ventilator-dependent patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult IMCU/PCU patients with complex medical conditions.

• Care for patients with neurological, cardiac, trauma, respiratory, COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-operative diagnoses.

• Monitor and manage patients requiring higher-acuity nursing care.

• Care for patients with temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo.

• Provide care for chronic ventilator-dependent patients who are unable to wean, with respiratory therapy support.

• Perform ongoing assessments, medication administration, monitoring, and documentation.

• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

• Use EPIC for clinical documentation and patient care coordination.

• Follow unit, hospital, infection-control, and patient-safety policies.

• Float to other appropriate units as required.

• Provide care to adult patients age 18 and older.

• Maintain safe and effective care within the 64-bed IMCU, including the designated 15-bed Neuro area.
