Responsibilities

Our Registered Nurses complete daily rounding, insertion, assessment of intravenous access, and PICC lines gathering statistical data for Central Line audits. They provide staff education in such areas as IV management and infection control practices. The team is also involved in various nursing councils and committees, contributing to quality initiatives in the area of vascular access.

Shift: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; Weekends required

Requirements

  • Must be licensed (RN) to practice in Maryland, or practice eligible, with at least one year of experience
  • Diploma/degree from an accredited nursing school or enrolled in a BSN program
  • CPR for the Health Care Provider (BLS) required
  • CRNI (Certified RN Infusion) is strongly preferred

In addition to the above basic certification requirements, CN III requires the following (choose one):

  • Obtained a BSN or Enrolled in a BSN program
  • Certification in a National Specialty is encouraged.
  • One project benefiting the nursing unit approved by the nurse manager and director
