Registered Nurse 1The Viral Hepatitis (VH) Program within the Communicable and Environmental Diseases and Emergency Preparedness (CEDEP) division of the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) is currently hiring for a Jail Vaccination Team Registered Nurse position.Primary job duties will include, but are not limited to:Plan and conduct vaccination clinics within county jails across East TennesseeEducate justice-involved individuals about vaccines and viral hepatitis preventionProperly store, transport, and administer vaccinations according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) handling guidanceDocuments patient information according to standards of careCompletes patient health records (electronic and paper)Track and report the number of vaccines administered at each clinic site and the educational materials providedParticipate in programmatic calls with project supervisor and/or viral hepatitis teamsCommunicates with internal and external entitiesMaintains patient health files and legal record of serviceRegistered Nurse Minimum Qualifications:Education and Experience:Currently licensed as a Registered NurseNecessary Special Qualifications:Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or holds a privilege to practice in the State of Tennessee under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)A valid motor vehicle operator's licenseExamination Method: Education and Experience, 100%Position needed through 7/1/2026, staffing requirements to be re-evaluated for possible extension.
