Contract Details

• Position Type: Contract (Travel/Contract)
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $77.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Night Shift, 3x12 Hours (19:00 7:30). Most likely a straight Night Shift position. If clinician is needed to cover both nights and days, schedule flips every 4 weeks.
• Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks traveler can be called off for 1, 12-hour shift per 2 weeks.
• Weekend Requirement: Yes every other weekend.
• On-Call Required: No.
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a Labor and Delivery RN travel assignment at a high-risk OB unit within an Acute Hospital that is a Magnet Facility, Level II Trauma Center, and USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska. The unit handles OB Triage/Testing (5 10 patients), Labor and Delivery/Antepartum (7 14 patients), and features 10 OB Triage Rooms, 10 LDR Rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms. Average daily deliveries are approximately 7, with up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases. OB Triage averages 4 5 third-trimester testing patients as well as an influx of triage patients each day.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide labor and delivery nursing care in a high-risk OB unit.
• Float to like units within scope to meet facility needs, if needed.
• Perform charge nurse duties as required or be willing to train as charge nurse.

Required Skills

• Charge experience preferred, or willingness to train as charge nurse.
• Ability to float to like units within scope as needed.

Education Requirements

• AK RN License required must have license in hand for Auto Offer (pending license accepted, but Auto Offer requires license in hand).
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• AWHONN Intermediate certification required.
• AWHONN Advanced certification required.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• First-time travelers accepted.

• Magnet Facility, Level II Trauma, USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska.
• Total Staffed Beds: 407.
• Charting System: Epic.
• Scrub Color: Provided by facility.
• Parking: Free.
• Local candidates are NOT accepted candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Block schedule accommodation: Not available.

Important Notes

• Auto Offer: Yes AK RN license must be in hand at time of Auto Offer. Pending license accepted, but will not qualify for Auto Offer without license in hand.
• RTO Restrictions: Time off is approved on an individual basis upon offer. All RTO must be included in the submittal.
• COVID-19: Not required.
