Double labor assignments are a daily occurrence on the unit, and the unit handles more than 300 births per month. The unit accepts 13 26 week contracts and will accept first-time travelers, provided they have experience in a large, high-volume similar setting. Local candidates are also accepted.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required to be comfortable working on this unit, as it can be challenging for less experienced nurses; 3 years preferred.
  • Must have experience in a large, high-volume Labor and Delivery setting with greater than 300 births per month.
  • First-time travelers accepted, but must have experience in a large/high-volume similar setting.
