Utilizing the nursing process, the RN assesses patient needs, develops individualized care plans, implements interventions, and evaluates outcomes. The RN collaborates effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and promote a positive patient experience. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care that addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients. Assess patient conditions, develop comprehensive care plans, and implement interventions based on evidence-based practices. Evaluate patient outcomes and make necessary adjustments to the care plan. Provide patient and family education to promote self-management and prevent complications. Advocate for patients' rights and ensure their safety and well-being. Team Leadership: Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, technicians, and therapists. Participate in shared governance initiatives to improve nursing practice. Quality and Safety: Adhere to regulatory standards and best practices for patient care, safety, and documentation. About the unit: LDRP model with a Special Care Nursery Expansive OB and Midwife delivery models Unit focuses on physiologic birth, shared decision making, and evidence-based practice Collaborative, interdisciplinary culture with high level nursing autonomy Supportive leadership, experienced preceptors, and a commitment to professional growth Opportunities to mentor, precept and contribute to unit-based excellence Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
