Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients on-site.
Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond to emergencies promptly.
Assist with and monitor labor progression, fetal monitoring, and interventions.
Collaborate with obstetric team to develop and update care plans.
Adhere to evidence-based practices and hospital protocols.
Uphold professional development goals and pursue ongoing learning opportunities.
Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postnatal care.
Participate in performance metrics and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain stock and manage supplies in the obstetric unit.
Ensure a safe and respectful environment for patients and staff.
Experience/Qualifications
Current RN license with obstetric or Maternity Nursing certification.
Proven Labor & Delivery experience in high-risk or standard obstetric units.
Ability to monitor fetal well-being and manage labor progression essentials.
Knowledge of evidence-based obstetric protocols and safety standards.
Proficiency in electronic medical records and accurate incident reporting.
Strong team collaboration with obstetricians and neonatal staff.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
Capability to educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postnatal care.
Resilience to work in a performance-driven, metric-focused environment.
Inventory management and supply chain awareness in an obstetric unit.
