Description

CCP specializes in providing comprehensive cardiology care and currently has over 30 locations throughout the Philadelphia region. We are currently hiring for a part-time Registered Nurse at our Lansdale, PA location.
Responsibilities:
Set up and monitor patients for stress testing, including nuclear, PET CT pharmacological, stress echo, nuclear treadmill studies and regular treadmill studies.
EKG rhythm identification and interpretation. Must be knowledgeable in arrhythmias.
Prep patients for stress testing procedures, including patient interviews, measuring vital signs, obtaining medical history, obtaining patient consent and signatures, and conducting patient teaching related to the procedure including risks and complications.
Must be familiar with medical emergencies brought on by stress testing and react accordingly.
Maintain patient confidentiality in all circumstances
May be responsible for occasionally retrieving, researching, and returning all calls from the nursing voice mailbox. May also be responsible for triaging urgent calls, facilitating appropriate level of care for the patient
Document all patient interactions concisely and accurately into the patient's electronic medical record (EMR)
High-level triage; Evaluate patients that walk into office with a variety of requests and issues
Provide emergency support to patients in all areas of office as needed
Available to physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff for questions and problem resolution
Assist with loop monitor implants
Peer reviews
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted PA Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience in emergency department, cardiology, critical care, or outpatient/ambulatory care.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
Demonstrated knowledge of accreditation standards Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with ability to foster collaboration across teams
Advanced EKG Interpretation: Proficiency in identifying arrhythmias and acute ischemic changes.
Critical Thinking: Ability to make rapid, accurate decisions in high-stress situations.
Effective Communication: Clear coordination with cardiologists and the ability to ease the anxiety of patients and families.
Attention to Detail: Precision in documenting patient status and identifying subtle clinical changes.
