Job Title: Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care
Location: Vestal, NY
Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: Evening Shift | 5 x 8-Hour Shifts | 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM | Every Other Weekend Required
Pay Rate: $1,200.00 – $1,600.00 per week (Based on Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care in a Long-Term Care facility serving residents with skilled nursing, rehabilitation, Alzheimer's, and dementia care needs. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to physician orders.
Perform medication passes while maintaining compliance with facility policies and safety standards.
Monitor residents' conditions and promptly report changes to the appropriate healthcare providers.
Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation within the electronic medical record system.
Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents with long-term care, rehabilitation, Alzheimer's, and dementia needs.
Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on assigned units.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality resident care.
Required Qualifications
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 1 year of Long-Term Care (LTC) experience (recent rehabilitation, medical-surgical, or hospital experience also considered).
Current BLS certification.
Ability to pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation.
Strong attendance, punctuality, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience caring for Alzheimer's and dementia patient populations.
Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) electronic health record system.
