Job Title: Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care
Location: Vestal, NY
Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: Evening Shift | 5 x 8-Hour Shifts | 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM | Every Other Weekend Required
Pay Rate: $1,200.00 – $1,600.00 per week (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care in a Long-Term Care facility serving residents with skilled nursing, rehabilitation, Alzheimer's, and dementia care needs. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to physician orders.

  • Perform medication passes while maintaining compliance with facility policies and safety standards.

  • Monitor residents' conditions and promptly report changes to the appropriate healthcare providers.

  • Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation within the electronic medical record system.

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents with long-term care, rehabilitation, Alzheimer's, and dementia needs.

  • Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on assigned units.

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality resident care.

Required Qualifications

  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.

  • Minimum of 1 year of Long-Term Care (LTC) experience (recent rehabilitation, medical-surgical, or hospital experience also considered).

  • Current BLS certification.

  • Ability to pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation.

  • Strong attendance, punctuality, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience caring for Alzheimer's and dementia patient populations.

  • Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) electronic health record system.
