Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg to join our healthcare team in Adrian, MI. The ideal candidate will have recent acute-care Med/Surg nursing experience and be committed to providing safe, high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute-care nursing experience within the last 5 years (LTACH and IRF experience not accepted)
- Med/Surg experience preferred.
- BLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills. Ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced acute-care environment
- Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg patients.
- Assess, monitor, and document patients' conditions and progress.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, and changes in patient condition.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Follow hospital policies, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety standards.
- Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns when necessary
- Recent Med/Surg experience in an acute-care hospital setting; experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR). Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize care for multiple patients
$45–$50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
