Med/Surg Department - Grand River Health | Rifle, CO

What You'll Do

The Registered Nurse (RN) works as a contributing member of the Med/Surg Department at our main hospital campus. They will provide professional nursing care, treatment, counseling, and health education to assigned inpatients. The RN works as a part of a health care team and plans in conjunction with physicians and other care team members.

  • Monitors vital signs and administers medications, including intravenous medications, with input from the care team.
  • Supports patients with bandage care, pain management, and ensuring they rest, drink fluids, and eat properly.
  • Tracks patient progress, updates medical records, and communicates with doctors as needed.
  • Educates patients and stands up for them when necessary.
  • Helps maintain health and prevents illnesses, injuries, and disabilities.
  • Completes various tasks as assigned.

Who We're Looking For

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Valid registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado .
  • Must have current BLS card upon hire.
  • Position also requires ACLS, PALS or ENPC certification within 6 months of initial employment.
  • All required certifications must maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
  • Prefer one year of professional nursing experience in a patient care setting. Must be 18 years of age or older.
