What You’ll Do
  • Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to a diverse patient population, including post-op urology, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, and medical patients
  • Monitor patient conditions, interpret cardiac rhythms, and manage wound care including JP drains and wound vacs
  • Administer medications, including non-titratable cardiac drips and pain management protocols
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists, therapists, and specialists
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized unit environment
  • Support unit operations by floating to different Med/Surg units as needed
What You Need
Required:
  • Valid RN license
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
  • Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience
  • Strong wound care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and telemetry skills

Preferred:
  • Experience with urology post-operative care and complex surgical patients
  • Flexibility to float across units and adapt to changing patient census
About the Assignment
This position is based at a leading healthcare facility in City, State, with a focus on urology and general medical/surgical patient care. The unit provides a mix of post-operative urology patients and medical overflow, offering valuable educational opportunities and a team-oriented environment. You will work 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, with the opportunity to work holidays as scheduled. Orientation includes a 2-day hospital introduction and 3-4 days on-unit training.
