Pay Package
Travelers: $58–$72/hour gross, based on shift flexibility and location Locals: $45–$50/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to provide care in Med/Surg Telemetry settings. The RN will care for patients requiring medical-surgical nursing services and continuous cardiac monitoring while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Requirements
Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty being applied for.
Active Ohio RN license or compact-state RN license required.
BLS and ACLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required.
NIHSS certification required.
Recent Epic experience required.
One recent professional reference from a Manager, ANM, Supervisor, or Director in the applicable specialty is required.
Must successfully complete required ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation.
Must work at least every other holiday during the assignment.
Flu vaccination exemptions are limited to approved medical or religious exemptions.
COVID-19 vaccination exemptions are limited to approved medical or religious exemptions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients.
Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition.
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document patient status.
Administer medications and treatments according to orders and established protocols.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records using Epic.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care.
Follow infection control, patient safety, and facility policies.
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
