Job Title: Registered Nurse – Med Surg / Telemetry
Location: Corvallis, OR
Employment Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), Rotating Weekends
Compensation: Up to $2,200/week (Based on experience)
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / Telemetry to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute care hospital setting. This role involves caring for medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including post-operative and acutely ill adults.
The ideal candidate is experienced in cardiac monitoring, interdisciplinary collaboration, and EPIC documentation, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Unit Overview
- Medical-Surgical unit caring for acutely ill adult patients
- Supports both emergent and elective surgical cases
- Telemetry monitoring available for patients requiring stable cardiac observation
- Collaborative care model with RNs and nursing support staff
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for Med-Surg and Telemetry patients
- Monitor and accurately interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms
- Care for post-operative and acutely ill adult patients
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Document patient care accurately using the EPIC EMR system
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and safety standards
- Support care for orthopedic and bariatric patient populations (preferred)
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med-Surg or Telemetry RN experience
- Recent experience with EPIC EMR system required
Education
- Nursing degree (ASN or BSN) required
Licensure & Certifications
- Active Oregon RN License – required (must be active at submission)
- BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) – required
- ACLS (AHA) – required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in orthopedic and/or bariatric patient care
- Specialty certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing (CMSRN) – encouraged
