Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Surgery Trauma Unit)

Position Details

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical
Unit: Surgery Trauma / High Acuity Floor
Duration: 8 Weeks
Schedule: Night Shift – 3x12s
Hours: 36 hours/week
Location: Atlanta, GA

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg or Trauma specialty
BLS certification required
ACLS preferred
EPIC experience required
Must be willing to work assigned shifts — no block scheduling available

Patient Population

Surgical patients
Trauma and gunshot wound patients
Quadriplegic and paraplegic patients

Unit Details

High-acuity Surgery Trauma floor
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 5:1
Nursing Support Technicians available
Phlebotomists available on unit
Unit secretary available during night shift
ED nurses and admitting unit complete nurse handoff process

Preferred Skills

Strong trauma and post-surgical care experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Experience caring for complex medical and trauma patients
