• Pay Rate: $50.00 $51.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: 6:30 AM 7:00 PM (Block Scheduling is never promised or guaranteed)

Job Summary

This is a Medical/Surgical (MS) travel nursing role based in Utica, NY. The unit cares for adult patients with a variety of post-surgical and medical diagnoses, utilizing specialty equipment in an acute care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care on a Medical/Surgical unit serving adult patient populations
• Manage common patient diagnoses including post-surgical care: abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fracture, back pain, and morbid obesity (bariatric surgery)
• Operate and monitor specialty equipment including IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes
• Float to other units as required

Required Skills

• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Active NY RN License (verified via NURSYS report with all active RN licenses)

Education Requirements

• Active NY RN License required (NURSYS report verification required)
• All active RN licenses must be in good standing
• Current AHA BLS certification required

• Floating required
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Adult patient population

• Will accept local candidates (local rate applies for candidates within less than 75 miles)
• Travel experience is required and must be documented on resume
• Resume must be up to date and include 2 years of MS experience with documented travel experience
• Skills checklist matching specialty must be submitted
• Driver's license with address matching demographics required at submission
• RTO must be included at time of submission
