Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Auto Offer

  • Night Shift
  • 3 × 12-hour shifts
  • 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Position Summary

Akron General Hospital is seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience and be proficient in cardiac monitoring, patient assessment, medication administration, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN experience, completed prior to any travel assignments.
  • Active Ohio RN License or Compact (NLC) RN License in hand prior to submission.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical/Surgical Telemetry patients.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
  • Perform patient assessments and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record (EMR) documentation.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and evidence-based nursing practices.
