POSITION: RN- MS/Tele (ACE Unit-Acute Care for the Elderly)

SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING
================================
" Shift hours/Contract Length:

" Charting: 1 yr of EPIC experience required

" Weekend Requirement: Every Other

" RTO/Block & Special Scheduling Requests: ALL requests must be included with the submission. Requests will only be accommodated if approved by the facility at the time of booking.

" Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

" Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes

" Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: Yes. Refer to the Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria.

" Pending License Accepted? No. Must have an active SC or multistate license.


REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

" BLS, ACLS


REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS
=========================
" MS/Tele experience, IV starts, blood product administration, central/peripheral/PICC line management

" Dysrhythmia interpretation & management, remote telemetry monitoring

" Heparin protocols, Telemetry-capable care

" Proficient in geriatric-focused care


UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING

" Ratios: 1:5

" Patient Population & Unit Details: The Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) unit has 26 beds and provides telemetry-capable care for hospitalized patients aged 65 and older. Staffed by specially trained Geriatric Resource Nurses along with nursing staff, they focus on preserving both cognitive and physical function to help patients return to their pre-admission baseline.

" Floating: While Prisma Health prioritizes keeping staff in their home unit, agency staff are required to float to other units or campuses as needed. Floating is limited to areas where staff are qualified and have documented competencies.
