Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: 2220 N. Druid Hills Road, Atlanta, GA 30329
Shift: Days | 3×12-hour shifts | 36 hours/week
Schedule: Weekend Block – Saturday/Sunday + 1 weekday shift

Position Requirements

• Active, unencumbered RN license

• Level IV NICU experience required

• Surgical NICU experience required

• Experience caring for critically ill neonates in a high-acuity NICU setting

• PALS required

• NRP preferred

• Must be willing to float to other units as needed

• Must work at least one holiday if a holiday falls during the contract

• Flu vaccination required – no exceptions

  • Religious and/or medical exemptions will not be accepted

• Nicotine-free facility

• Candidates must complete nicotine testing in addition to the standard drug screen – no exceptions

Common Patient Diagnoses / Clinical Experience

Experience with the following diagnoses and conditions is highly relevant:

• Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH)

• Meconium Aspiration Syndrome (MAS)

• Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC)

• Tracheoesophageal Fistula / Esophageal Atresia (TEF/EA)

• Abdominal wall defects

• Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD)

• Pulmonary hypertension

• Pre-operative, peri-operative, and post-operative neonatal care
