Vassar Brothers Medical Center (VBMC) VBMC is a renowned 349-bed regional medical center overlooking the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie, New York. Summary The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care that is guided by the ANA scope of practice. The Registered Nurse collaborates with patients, families, significant others, peers, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the delivery of healthcare services to patients. The Registered Nurse assesses the patients needs, plans care, implements, and evaluates the medical and nursing regimens in accordance with the hospital and nursing philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards. He or she demonstrates leadership skills and commitment to professional accountability and growth.
SUMMARY Utilizes the nursing process to provide quality, age-appropriate nursing care to patients that is consistent with organizational philosophy, goals, and policies and procedures.
