Registered Nurse – Neurology Unit (Level 2 RN)

 Location: Rochester, NY

Pay: $2,300 – $2,500 per week

Start Date: 04/13/2026

Contract: 13 weeks (option to extend or convert to permanent)

Shift: Rotating D/E/N (Days/Evenings/Nights), Weekends & Holidays as needed

Position Overview:

Join a highly specialized neurological unit within a leading academic medical center and gain hands-on experience caring for complex and acute neuro patients. As part of a Joint Commission-accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, you’ll play a key role in delivering advanced neurological care using cutting-edge technology, including continuous video EEG monitoring.

 Patient Population Includes:

- Stroke

- Epilepsy & seizure disorders

- Multiple Sclerosis

- Guillain-Barré Syndrome

- Other acute and complex neurological conditions

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide high-quality nursing care to neurological patients

- Monitor and interpret telemetry data

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

- Support diagnostic and treatment processes, including EEG monitoring

- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care

Schedule & Additional Info:

- Rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights)

- Weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback as required

- 48 hours straight time available

Requirements:

- Active NY State RN License

- Minimum 2 years RN experience

- Telemetry experience required

- BLS certification required

- NIHSS certification preferred
