Registered Nurse - NICU

Summary:

• Location: Anschutz Medical Campus
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Shift: 12Hour DAYS: 6:45 AM 7:15 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• On Call Requirement: None
• Holiday Work Requirement: July 4th

Responsibilities:

• Provide care in the Level Four NICU
• Float to ICU's (PICU or CICU) and acute care floors (6, 8, 9, 10) as needed
• Ensure care for patients not greater than 3 years of age if floated outside NICU
• Maintain clinical competence and adapt to various practice areas within 35 miles of the original facility

Requirements:

• Education: BSN required; will consider ADN with 8 years of Level IV NICU experience in a teaching and children's facility
• Licensure/Certification: Colorado RN license or multi-state compact license, PALS, ACLS, BLS
• Minimum 2 years of Level IV NICU experience
• MUST HAVE TRACH/VENT EXPERIENCE
• Required Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Preferred Skills:

• Prefer Pediatric CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse)
• Prior travel nursing experience
• PICU experience is a plus, but not required
