Registered Nurse - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator - New Rochelle, NY (#25141B)
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Registered Nurse - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator to fill an opening with a Review Company located in New Rochelle, New York.
Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator:
Participate in surveys or complaint investigations to include allegations of abuse and neglect, and perform surveillance activities/tasks at nursing homes (long-term care) to determine compliance with Federal and State regulations.
Produce written documentation and draft a Statement of Deficiencies (SOD) within the required time frame, using Principles of Documentation.
Assess compliance with the Plan of Correction within the required time frame.
Complete data entry in Federal and State reporting databases as required.
Participate in State monitoring during Immediate Jeopardy situations.
Attend meetings as required.
Testify in administrative hearings as needed.
Adhere to DOH work schedules.
Adhere to DOH and company policies, and procedures.
Travel to onsite locations according to work schedule

Requirements
Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator:
Must have an NYS Registered Nurse license
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience performing utilization review, claims adjudication, medical review, fraud investigation, surveillance, or monitoring activities; OR
3 years of clinical or administrative experience; OR
A Bachelor’s degree in nursing and 2 years of clinical or administrative experience
SMQT Certification is preferred but should be able to obtain within 12 months of employment
Must have a valid driver's license & the ability to travel to on-site facilities to review assignments
Must have at least one (1) year of survey experience
Employees must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts, as needed.
Candidates must be flexible with scheduling, as the state will determine the work schedule.
Weekend, holiday, and evening shift schedules will be assigned on a rotating basis.
This is a full-time travel position.
Candidates will receive a premium pay rate for working on holidays and overtime.

This is a temporary-to-permanent position
5 sick days (40 hours), subject to the provisions of the NYS Paid Sick Leave Act
