Registered Nurse/Operating Room

Position / Specialty: RN OR with Pre and Post experience
Shift Time: Monday- Friday time varies depending on start time of Surgery
Years of experience REQ: 2+
First-timers accepted: At least 1 travel assignment

Certs REQ: ACLS, BLS

Specific Duties:

"Maintain orderly, efficient, and timely flow of patients
"Provide instruction to patients and family regarding medications and treatment
"Perform pre- and post-op assessments
"Perform peri-operative responsibilities, circulating, and support anesthesia
"Administer medications, perform airway management, and monitor patient as needed
"Participate in admission and discharge of patients
"Coordinate and monitor patient care activities to ensure quality and timely delivery of services
"Adhere to sterile and aseptic techniques during procedures
"Develop and implement discharge plans in collaboration with other team members
"Assess patient/family level of understanding to enhance effective communication and education
"Provide specialized nursing care to patients as necessary
"Screen patients for appropriate clinical information, accurately document vitals, condition, medications, and other relevant medical information using EMR system
"Assist healthcare providers with various medical procedures
"Prepare patients for and recover patients following surgical procedures, as needed
"Circulate during OR and procedural room cases
"Assess patients for potential complications during peri-procedure and post-procedure times
"Administer and chart critical care medications
"Scrubs in to assist physician(s) during procedures/surgeries
"Provide report to prep and recovery RN
"Provide post-procedure instructions to patient, family, and/or caregiver prior to discharge
