Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)
Location: Santa Rosa, California / Orange, California
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days
Schedule: 5x8 or 3x12 Shifts Available
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to surgical patients.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout the surgical process.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to ensure safe and effective procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention standards.
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
- Document patient care accurately and timely within the medical record.
- Advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes throughout the perioperative experience.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience.
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and sterile techniques.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel nursing experience.
- Experience in multiple surgical specialties.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced surgical environments.
