Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of one year experience working as an RN in an Operating Room (OR) setting
- Proficiency with perioperative nursing duties, including patient assessment, intraoperative monitoring, and post-anesthesia care
- Familiarity with a broad range of surgical specialties and procedures
- Strong critical thinking and quick decision-making skills
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to promote safety and efficiency in the operating room
- Deliver direct and appropriate patient care before, during, and after surgery
- Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in patient status
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
- Support patient advocacy throughout the perioperative process
