How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Directly assist the operating physician with critical surgical tasks, including hemostasis (controlling bleeding), suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.

• Manage overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures by monitoring, recording, and communicating changes in patient condition to the surgical team.

• Perform scrub functions by expertly selecting and handling the sterile instruments, sponges, and supplies used throughout the operative procedure.

• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and medical equipment prior to surgeries to ensure full compliance with safety and sterility standards.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date
  or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of
  Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained
  prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

One or more of the following:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart
  Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of
  hire.
