Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Orthopedic Surgery

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) with strong orthopedic experience to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in the Operating Room while supporting orthopedic and general surgical procedures in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care during orthopedic and general surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations
• Support neuro/spine, robotics, urology, and general surgery cases
• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic charting system
• Participate in on-call rotations and float within scope when needed
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and healthcare staff

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience
• Strong orthopedic OR experience required
• Experience with scrub orthopedic surgeries and spinal fusion preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Travel experience required
• Experience in teaching hospitals or Level 3 trauma centers preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program

Certifications & Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• BLS certification required
