Job Summary

This is a travel/contract Operating Room RN position based at an acute care hospital in Santa Monica, CA. The role is in the Main OR and requires a minimum of 2 years of experience. First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment. The position operates under an MSP arrangement through Aya Healthcare MSP.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the Main Operating Room
• Fulfill on-call obligations as required per the 6-week call cycle (see Work Environment section for full on-call schedule)
• Adhere to facility scheduling requirements, including block schedule per manager discretion
• Chart using Epic electronic health records system
• Work in compliance with union code Travel/Contract employment terms

Required Skills

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to fulfill on-call requirements as scheduled
• BCLS certification required

Education Requirements

• Active RN License required
• BCLS certification required
• Pending license not accepted active license required at time of submission

Required Experience

- 2 primary weekday calls (2230 0600) per 6-week call cycle - 2 secondary weekday calls (2230 0600) per 6-week call cycle - 2 primary weekend calls (one day/12 hours at a time, 0630 1900 or 1830 0600), Saturday or Sunday or both - 2 secondary weekend calls (one day/12 hours at a time, 0630 1900 or 1830 0600), Saturday or Sunday or both

• Guaranteed Hours: Facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period
• Block Schedule: Open to accommodating per manager discretion
• COVID-19 Vaccination: Not required
• Flu Vaccination: Unknown
