• Shift / Schedule: Day shift, 5 8 Hours, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Job Summary

This is an Outpatient Neurology Clinic RN role. This is an outpatient position candidates must be aware this is an outpatient, not inpatient bedside, role. Locals and true travelers are both welcome for this assignment. The clinic utilizes EPIC for charting and the MoCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment), a screening tool for detecting mild cognitive impairment. Weekly workload expectations include approximately 8 infusion orders, 50 refills, 15 20 prior authorizations, 50 patient calls/MyChart patient advice messages, and 15 20 office visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Process infusion orders (approximately 8 per week)
• Manage prescription refills (approximately 50 per week)
• Handle prior authorizations (approximately 15 20 per week)
• Respond to patient calls and MyChart patient advice messages (approximately 50 per week)
• Facilitate office visits (approximately 15 20 per week)
• Administer and interpret the MoCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment) as a screening tool for detecting mild cognitive impairment

Required Skills

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Comfortable working in an outpatient clinical environment
• Ability to manage high-volume patient communication and administrative tasks

Preferred Skills

• Experience with EPIC highly preferred
• Prior experience working in Neurology highly preferred
• Prior experience working in Infusion highly preferred

Education Requirements

• California RN Licensure required (must be in hand within 2 weeks of offer; pending state license not accepted)

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• First-time travelers accepted

• Outpatient Facility (Outpatient Neurology Clinic)
• Charting system: EPIC
• No weekend requirement
• No on-call requirement
• No floating between units required
• Interview via Microsoft Teams required; candidates must provide 3 available interview times upon submittal
• Candidates should be comfortable with the Eureka, CA area; review of housing costs recommended prior to submission
