A well-established outpatient specialty healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join its clinical team in the Des Moines area. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking a predictable daytime schedule in a patient-focused surgical environment.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working directly with patients throughout their treatment journey, assisting clinical providers with procedures, providing education, and ensuring a high standard of care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
Assist healthcare providers during outpatient surgical and procedural treatments
Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient care
Educate patients regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and post-treatment instructions
Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures
Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and documentation
Respond to patient questions and concerns within scope of practice
Coordinate care with providers and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow
Follow infection control standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
Assist with inventory management and equipment maintenance
Deliver exceptional patient service while maintaining a professional and compassionate approach
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure in Iowa
Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
Preferred
One or more years of nursing experience
Experience in surgical, procedural, ambulatory, perioperative, or outpatient healthcare settings
Familiarity with patient education and recovery care protocols
