We are looking for a part-time Registered Nurse with mental health experience for the purpose of assessing, authorizing, supervising, and delivering high quality care to adults with serious mental illness living in residential settings. Our Registered Nurses performs basic duties that include assessing and educating individuals about mental and medical conditions, providing advice and emotional support to individuals, running wellness and recovery therapeutic groups, teaching individuals how to manage their illness or injury, providing nutrition and exercise education, review of self-administration of medications, and providing psychiatric crisis intervention.
Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized rehabilitation plans.
Provide therapeutic rehabilitative skill development and services based on consumer needs.
Provide crisis intervention and participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation for crisis and emergency support.
Coordinate services with the THP team, including case conferences, referrals, family meetings, and discharge planning.
Address consumers’ physical and behavioral health needs through nursing care or coordination with community medical and dental providers.
Monitor consumer self-administration of prescribed medications and provide medication education.
Maintain accurate documentation, support consumer access to wellness and recovery services, and collaborate with community providers to promote integrated care and recovery.
Qualifications:
Current NJ Registered Nurse license
Experience providing services to individuals with serious mental illness.
Knowledge of mental health rehabilitative principles.
Must be able to travel within group home services area (Dover, Boonton, Chester, Morristown) - company vehicle provided.
Valid NJ driver’s license, with a good driving record.
